The non-toxic photocatalysts in Dyphox\u2019s coating absorb nearby light (400\u2013700 nm) and convert it into singlet oxygen. Their revolutionary discovery came as early as the end of the 19th century when they found that photocatalysts could absorb light in the visible range and convert it effectively into oxygen radicals or singlet oxygen.
